about

"Personal Sermons" is the 3rd hiphop release from Sydney based rapper and vocalist Stevie Kincade. After releasing "Initiation" in 2014 with his rock band Initiates, Stevie began writing his most personal and mature raps to date. "I realized no one wants to be preached to so I started preaching to myself" says Stevie. Over the course of the disc Kincade writes about self reflection ("Stop N Think"), the war of art ("Resistance"), depression/mental illness ("Emergency"), near death experience ("New Man"), alteration of consciousness ("Vision") and finding peace ("Found the Love"). The result is a unique take on Australian Hiphop, yielding head nodding beats and confessional, conscious lyrics by an artist with something to say. Release date: January 26th 2015
